About

Using words to describe music can be a puzzle but when Steve and I started playing together we discovered that we could navigate together without resorting to the use of words. Our shared instinct is to let the music show us how it should unfold. Each of us are coming to this practice having logged lots of hours spontaneously supporting the flow of sound and impulse, investigation and development. The process involves a certain surrender as well as a generosity that wants to let the alchemy happen without a specific agenda. The music is always available, and we’re trying to gather some from the ether so we can share it with you.

Memory is subjective. It’s often an active reconstruction informed by emotions, context and biases. Listening to this recording is not the same experience as being at the 210 Gallery and Art Space in Sandstone, MN on October 12, 2025 when we recorded. We invite you to explore these sounds we discovered and everything they bring.
