Two Five None

Live performance being eliminated by the pandemic, we took refuge in remote interaction. We did a number of pieces together over about a year, and then got preoccupied with other things. I was missing the interaction so after a bit I suggested we do some more, and offered to go first. In thinking about what to play for Chad to respond to, I pulled a copy of Resolving Doors by Joel Futterman, Ike Levin and Alvin Fielder off my shelf, and started playing along to it. I sent the resulting drum tracks to Chad. And here is the result. Two-five-one (ii-V-i, for you purists) is a standard jazz chord progression. Think Satin Doll. So ... Resolving Doors, and ii-V-???.
